German Reading Award 2020 for „Hamburg liest weiter“

We are honoured that „Hamburg Reads On“ („Hamburg liest weiter“) has been awarded the German Reading Award 2020 (Deutscher Lesepreis). Our initiative has taken second place in the category „outstanding community commitment to reading promotion“. We collect used magazines and direct them to where reading material is rather rare: to social and relief organisations in Hamburg. Stiftung Lesen and the Commerzbank Foundation award the German Reading Award 2020 to 16 individuals and institutions that have made a sustained commitment to the promotion of reading.

We are very thankful for this recognition and congratulate all prizewinners!
